The Advice Annex 63
The Advice Annex answers questions from teens and young adults all over the world, using my own life experience and humor.
In this installment, Becca’s co-workers are “bitches,” Amanda is debating whether or not she should go to prom, Leah has an annoying friend that tries way too hard, Krista got over a guy she had a crush on, but the crush came back, Megan is not sure if she should share a certain piece of information with her parents, Paul is overwhelmed by a school project and is not sure what to do, Josh’s sister gets all the attention from his family and much more!

You’re answer was seriously on-point. Exactly what I wanted/needed to hear. Thanks<3

JP Metz, I love like everything you do, so I’m so glad you’re doing what makes you happy. Furthermore, I hope you’re well.
When you said you’d wished you had gone to prom for the memories, I just want you to know not to beat yourself up about it (Not that I think you would, you’re JP Metz the frig!) When I went to prom, I went with my best friend, and I would have rather sat at home alone in the dark than had been at prom, where I PAID to have one of the worst nights ever.
My ex was chasing me all night, my best friend was crying by the end of the night, because another friend of hers (that leads her on all the time) confessed his “love” for her and said he was going to jump off the Niagara Falls that night, and so much more. So not everyone has fond memories of prom. Best of luck, keep doing what you do, love ya!

Hi, Justine. I plan on telling my parents over the weekend (The three of us work and get off at different times, so it’ll be easier if I do it this weekend). Once I have the reaction, I will return to make another comment, stating what happened. Thank you so much for the advice.

Hey this is the Josh from the email. It has nothing to do with wanting attention. It’s just that loud noises really bother me especially when they follow me around my house, everywhere I go. I do really not get that much attention (it does all go to her) but I don’t want to do anything bad to get attention. She is an asshole and everything you said really gave me hope to know that somebody is on my “side.” So besides you assuming that I want to do bad things, (the iPod smashing was an expression of frustration)you got it all right and I thank you for answering my questions and I hope you have an amazing day. Great podcast.
Love, Josh

no no! I was not assuming that you want to do bad things, I was just hoping that you weren’t too tempted to do bad things, to get attention like your sister:)
